DoDeca-Con: The First Frontier

Hello there, my knotty fiends!

If you have been following me on facebook or twitter, then it is no doubt that you had heard ALL about the preparation for my trip to Columbia, Missouri for my first convention, DoDeca-Con; a brand new gaming and comic convention.

I knew I couldn’t go on this quest alone, so I invited along my best friend and impromptu photographer, Mike “Ghostlikeswazy”. He’s the one behind the camera in most of the photos. Special thanks to him for being a truly awesome road-dog.

Here I am, Saturday morning, primping my dolls for their public debut. It was quite fun seeing them all set up in a store front style.

Then the real fun started! People started showing up and, not only that, lots of people were interested in my knottyfingers!

Then this sweet fellow said he had been eyeing my Cthulhu all day and he had to have it. Take him! This beast is cursed! I say.

I’m not sure if I should publicly express the humor I found when a group of children came to my table, flew my human centipede doll across the sky and exclaimed “It’s a reindeer!”*

*Please be advised I am not responsible for any childhood trauma.

Here’s s’more happy knotty fans!

Then we saw a sword fight! Well it was a wood fight. But still…

But the greatest part about my time at DoDeca-Con?

All in all, it was an excellent adventure full of firsts. First convention, first time in Columbia, Missouri and first time eating White Castle.

But it will not be my last!
